The North Ronaldsay Trust has submitted an application for Stage 2 of the Regeneration Capital Grant Fund Regeneration: Capital investment for regeneration – gov.scot (www.gov.scot) to Orkney Islands Council for the creation of a new Business and Wellbeing Hub on Trebb (project called “The Pund”). The aim of this project is to restore redundant property and land into a productive workspace hub and develop new build facilities to create a community and lifelong wellbeing hub for the island. This idea was consulted with the local community through the Community Survey carried out on the island in 2019, and pursued after a majority of positive responses.
OIC Development Committee will decide tomorrow, Thursday 21st of October, if they put forward our application to the Scottish Government or not. We have our fingers crossed, watch this space for more updates.
